Abstract

В статье ставится задача систематизировать взгляды ученых Армении на особенности притока прямых иностранных инвестиций (ПИИ) в страну и их роль в национальной экономике. На основе анализа публикаций ряда ведущих армянских экономистов по вопросу ПИИ авторы статьи приходят к выводу, что данные исследования находятся в русле современных концепций ПИИ, хотя в некоторых случаях носят марксистский отпечаток. Так, подчеркивается положительная корреляция между притоками ПИИ в национальную экономику и ее устойчивым развитием в долгосрочном периоде; вместе с тем отмечается, что в Армении, как и в ряде других развивающихся стран, ПИИ не являются ключевым фактором экономического роста. В статье выделяются факторы привлечения ПИИ в Армению, которые, по мнению армянских экономистов, являются определяющими, в частности наличие стратегических активов в некоторых отраслях промышленности (которые зарубежные инвесторы рассматривают как “brownfield investment”), дешевая и относительно квалифицированная рабочая сила, мощная зарубежная армянская диаспора.
