Abstract

В статье рассматриваются вопросы формирования Среднего Урала как промышленной территории. Показано, что исследованиями природных условий Урала и особенностей жизнедеятельности его населения плодотворно занимались российские и иностранные ученые еще в XVIII − XIX веках. Отмечается, что в XX веке произошел переход к системному организационно-экономическому исследованию производительных сил, общества и природы Среднего Урала, обращается внимание на новые проблемы, стоящие перед регионом, и на необходимость их научного решения.
