Abstract

Зарождение классической политэкономии стало поворотным моментом в истории мировой экономической науки. Россия была одной из первых европейских стран, где идеи Адама Смита и его последователей нашли живое понимание. Исторический парадокс состоял в том, что в крепостнической стране появился мыслитель, который по-своему развил идеи экономического либерализма, стал одним из первых пропагандистов экономической свободы в России.
