Abstract

Несмотря на некоторые ошибки и просчеты, правление президента Уильяма Дж. Клинтона вошло в историю США как самый длительный период подъема экономики в ХХ в. Его антикризисная программа наряду с активной политикой регулирования экономики опиралась на реформы (welfare, налоговую, социальные и пр.) с ориентацией на длительный экономический рост новых отраслей экономики, возникших в предыдущем цикле инноваций, в т.ч. компьютеризацию общества, развитие Интернета, биотехнологий и генной инженерии, нанотехнологий. Суть своей политики Билл Клинтон охарактеризовал как 6 «за»: за экономический рост, за охрану окружающей среды, за защиту гражданских прав, за борьбу с преступностью, за развитие бизнеса, за интересы труда.
