Abstract

Т. Рузвельт, будучи продолжателем традиций А. Линкольна, предложил нации программу «Справедливый курс», причем справедливый по отношению ко всем. Он полагал, что пришло их время: в «плавильном котле» новой американской нации переплавляются лучшие традиции иммигрантов. Рузвельт выступил проводником прогрессивных социальных перемен во всех сферах жизни. Только территории национальных парков и заповедников в США при нем увеличились вдвое. Неслучайно американцы почитают его как выдающегося политического лидера ХХ века.
