Abstract

Вудро Вильсон, 28-й президент, вошел в историю США как одна из выдающихся личностей. У него были очевидные успехи в экономической политике и большой авторитет в связи с сохранением нейтралитета США во время Первой мировой войны. Программа прогрессивных экономических реформ Вильсона предусматривала понижение таможенных барьеров во внешней торговле, подготовку и проведение налоговой реформы, создание Федеральной резервной системы. В начале ХХ в. США стали самой раз витой страной мира. В 1919 г. Вильсон был удостоен Нобелевской премии мира за идею организации Лиги Наций.
