Abstract

Энергетическая политика США и её ведущие направления в настоящее время являются весьма показательными для мирового сообщества, Энергетическая политика любого государства (в том числе и Соединенных Штатов Америки) во многом ориентирована именно на регулирование добычи, переработки и покупки нефти Америка на протяжении большей части XX в. традиционно выступала в качестве главного потребителя энергетических ресурсов, и в первую очередь, углеводородов. Это было связано в основном с экономическим развитием страны, которая по праву считалась и считается ведущим мировым экономическим гигантом, производственные мощности которого постоянно требовали и продолжают требовать все больших энергетических затрат. На конец XX в., в условиях беспрецедентного экономического бума, значение энергетических ресурсов, и особенно нефти, стало для США ещё более очевидным.
