Abstract

Экологическая безопасность государства – это сложная и многогранная категория, которая требует глубокой проработки и изучения. В статье обобщены теоретические аспекты определения экологической безопасности Украины и ее составляющих, проанализированы индексы экологической безопасности составленые международными организациями, среди которых Комиссия OOН по устойчивому развитию, Международный институт устойчивого развития (IISD), Научный комитет по проблемам окружающей среды (SCOPE), Йельский университет. На основе обработки статистических данных предложена концепция оценки индекса экологической безопасности Украины для последующей адекватной научно-обоснованной оценки современного уровня экологического состояния Украины по сравнению с другими странами мира.
