Abstract

Статья освещает судьбы региональных лидеров, членов большевистской партии. Эти люди оказались в руководстве не потому, что были способнее или образованнее своих предшественников, а благодаря той репрессивной политике, которую инициировал Сталин. Они одновременно являлись и палачами, и жертвами организованной вождем кровавой ротации партийных кадров. Судьба одного из таких руководящих работников В.Р. Калачёва -находится в центре внимания авторов.
