Abstract

В статье дан аналитический обзор динамики смертности населения Российской Федерации в 90-е годы, показывающий, что в России уровни смертности в младенческом, детском, трудоспособном возрастах значительно выше, чем в развитых странах; увеличилась мужская сверхсмертность, особенно в молодых возрастах, приведшая к резкому сокращению продолжительности жизни; нарастает тенденция депопуляции, усугубившаяся в 1999-2001 гг. с ускорением роста смертности населения.
