Abstract

Статья посвящена исследованию того, как в популярном образе национальной традиции экономической мысли трансформируются, распространяются и используются коллективные воспоминания о прошлом. Этот процесс рассматривается на примере интерпретации наследия графа Е. Ф. Канкрина в русской общественной мысли XIX-XX веков, в сравнении с западной историографической традицией. Изучаются предпосылки и результаты формирования из фигуры крупного государственного чиновника, связанного с немецкой и общеевропейской теорией и практикой камерализма, образа экономиста-первооткрывателя национального масштаба.
