Abstract

В статье рассматриваются практические и научно-образовательной работы выдающегося ученого Л. С. Каминского, профессора Экономического факультета Ленинградского государственного университета. Деятельность Л. С. Каминского протекала в период создания государственной системы медицинского обслуживания в СССР. Основные его работы были посвящены социально-медицинским проблемам. В период с 1943 по 1956 г. он возглавлял кафедру военно-медицинской статистики Военно-медицинской академии им. С. М. Кирова. С 1956 г. до конца своей жизни он работал на кафедре статистики Экономического факультета Ленинградского государственного университета. Как ученый и практик он изучал проблемы военно-медицинских и санитарно-эпидемиологической статистики и написал более 200 научных работ, в том числе около 40 монографий.
