Из Переписки В. И. Борткевича С Л. Вальрасом: Страницы Истории Лозаннской Школы

Abstract

Переписка между Леоном Вальрасом и Владиславом Иосифовичем Борткевичем (56 писем между 1887 и 1899 гг., опубликованных У. Яффе [1]) представляет собой прекрасный пример научного сотрудничества двух ученых конца XIX в. Эта статья начинается с введения к публикации корреспонденции, которая велась на французском языке. Для перевода нами было выбрано восемь характерных писем, передающих основной дух этой переписки (сохранена нумерация писем Яффе). Поскольку понимание писем требует воссоздания контекста, мы сопроводили их комментариями и предварили коротким представлением авторов — Вальраса и Борткевича. Кроме того, заключительная часть вводного текста посвящена контексту и наиболее обсуждаемым вопросам переписки.
