Abstract

В XIX веке в России сформировалась национальная финансовая школа, развивавшаяся в контексте доминировавшей в те годы классической традиции. Существенную роль в этом процессе сыграли выпускники и преподаватели Санкт-Петербургского университета. С. И. Иловайский, окончивший университет в 1882 г. и впоследствии работавший в Новороссийском университете, внес заметный вклад в пропаганду финансовых знаний. Его основной труд Учебник финансового права многократно переиздавался и был весьма популярен среди студентов. В статье дан критический разбор взглядов Иловайского на финансовую проблематику, отмечены достоинства и определенные недостатки в его разработках.
