Methods of assessment of competitive advantages of attracting of direct foreign investments, developed by the leading national agencies and international organizations have been considered; the rank of Ukraine in international ratings of investment attractiveness and institutional environment for the direct foreign investment attraction has been determined as well as dynamics of change of rank of Ukraine in international ratings for the last years in comparison with other countries has been researched and the necessity of improvement ofinstitutional environment for direct foreign investments attraction on the basis of the obtained results of analysis has been outlined. Розглянуто методики оцінки конкурентних переваг залучення прямих іноземних інвестицій, що розроблені провідними національними агенціями та міжнародними організаціями; визначено позицію України у міжнародних рейтингах інвестиційної привабливості та інституціонального середовищазалучення прямих іноземних інвестицій; досліджено динаміку зміни показників України у міжнародних рейтингах за останні роки в порівнянні з іншими країнами світу; окреслено необхідність вдосконалення інституціонального середовища залучення прямих іноземних інвестицій на основі результатів проведеного аналізу
