The article deals with the essence and specifics of the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises. The authors examine the current state of agriculture and its role in the economy of Ukraine. The authors determine the negative and positive trends in the production of major agricultural crops. The major problems concerning the current state of agriculture and their impact on competitiveness are identified and analyzed. The paper studies the negative consequences and situations prevailing on the economic level. The ways for improving the state of agricultural enterprises and increasing the level of competitiveness are studies. Розглянуто сутність та специфіку конкурентоспроможності сільськогосподарських підприємств. Досліджено сучасний стан сільського господарства та його роль в економіці України. Визначено негативні та позитивні тенденції виробництва основних сільськогосподарських культур. Було виявлено та проаналізовано суттєві проблеми щодо теперішнього стану сільського господарства та впливу проблем на конкурентоспроможність. Досліджено негативні наслідки та ситуації, що утворилися на господарському рівні. Розглянуто шляхи щодо покращання стану сільськогосподарських підприємств та підвищення рівня конкурентоспроможності.
