Abstract

The bankruptcy of economic entities is a significant phenomenon in the market economy, especially in the challenging times we live in today. The study aims to identify the links, relations, and influence of macroeconomic factors on the bankruptcy of organizations at the level of the European Union. After conducting a bibliometric analysis to determine the current level of knowledge and future research directions, econometric modeling was used to identify how these macroeconomic factors influence bankruptcies, confirming their decisive impact on the evolution of bankruptcies registered within the European Union.
