GROUP DYNAMICS AND TEAM FUNCTIONING IN ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT Abstract : In all kind of organization many activities are done by groups and teams. But how are they formed? What factors influence their existence and development? How members of groups and teams are selected? Which are the consequences in organizational context? In order to answer these questions, in the present paper we describe and analyze the main approaches regarding the formation of work groups and work teams (sociometric approach and group dynamics approach), the main factors that affects group dynamics and the FIRO model for evaluation the team members’ needs
