Retornos aos investimentos no setor não-agrícola e agrícola da economia brasileira

Abstract

Data are obtained on capital for the nonagricultural sector and for the agricultural subsectors domestic products and export crops; and then investment data are derived. Translog-like production functions are estimated for each sector. The results suggest that investment returns in agriculture are greater than in the nonagricultural sector. Agricultural investments show returns slightly higher in the export crops relative to the domestic agricultural products.
