Abstract

“Namah†acapella chorus is the saga of a group of determined amateurs' who took to music as a passion. They performed at the very best professional level of the music world. It is the story of hobby mastered and turned to perfected vocation in Goa, India. It got started by the dedicated efforts of Mr. Christo Fernandes. The broad aim of “Namah†is making contributions towards the society in various ways. Music is a medium to achieve those aspirations. It brings additional meaning to life of the individual chorus members as a sensitive and sensible hobby. “Namah†also aims to popularise music specifically acapella music in Goa. It was determined to take music to the have-nots, those who under the normal circumstances in our society would never be able to learn and play music. The big question was how this beginning could be turned into a big sustainable worthy journey. What Mr. Christo Fernandes needed to do to make the boat sail in the ocean?
