Abstract

This case is about Nisheeth’s Microsign Products (Microsign), a manufacturer of electronical, electronics, and automobile components. Since its inception in 1979, the company underwent several HR related changes. The biggest decision in this regard was to employ as many differently abled people as many possible. The firm could sustain financially because of the modifications done in the HR practices to adapt to the differently abled workforce. In 2017, the company felt the pinch of increased competition and demand for better quality products. Therefore, the CEO, Nisheeth, decided to embrace advanced German machines. However, he knew that embracement of technology is not easy and this move could potentially change the existing HR practices. He wondered what he and other organizations that employ differently abled people could do to sustain in this turbulent time.
