Abstract

This study explores how investment strategies are evolving to prioritize sustainability and productivity in response to the 2030 Agenda, and examines their impact on decision-making in China’s financial sector. By employing Hierarchical Bayes within the Mixed Logit Model, this pilot research provides an understanding of consumer behavior in the financial investment sector within the Chinese context, with a focus on the willingness to prioritize sustainability and productivity. The study shows that investors are increasingly factoring in sustainability and productivity alongside traditional metrics like risk and return, with economic uncertainty (EU) playing a significant role. This reflects a growing shift toward investment strategies that align with global sustainability goals, particularly within the Chinese context.
