Abstract

With the increase in spread of information technology, use of software products and services will percolate down the line to small organisations/medium sized companies. Since the software development cycle time will reduce in the coming years, organisations who want to leverage information technology for their competitive advantage would like to use the latest software tools at minimum cost and therefore, are likely to opt for software on rental basis. In the case of applications where particular software is required for one time use or where software applications are required at sites, rental services will be ven; useful. Trends show that in the years to come, software services and products on rental basis is likely to be a high revenue generating industry.
