Abstract

During the combustion of straw, the formation of deposits, which erode the heating surface of furnace and affects the safe operation, is influenced by many factors. This paper studies the influences of straw shape on the deposit formation. The result is as follows. The shape of fuel affects the process of combustion, accordingly, it affects the formation law and properties of deposits. Firstly, the change law of deposition rate is different from the combustion of native straw; secondly, the deposition rate and amount are significantly lower than that produced by the native straw; at last, the shape of fuel has an important influence on the characteristics and component of deposit.
