The new standard ISO 690 – How to properly cite in our journal

Abstract

In March 2011 a new standard ISO 690 Guidelines for bibliographic references and citations to information resources became valid, which brings changes to the work of the scientific and pedagogical staff of schools and scientific institutions. Until now we have used the available ISO 690 of 1987 and its supplement ISO 690-2 1997, now a fairly well-arranged comprehensive standard is available, which makes the work with bibliographic information easier, or at least more accurate in many ways. The newly introduced standard also declares quotation rules of some previously neglected documents, such as cartographic materials, music, sound recordings, photographs, graphics and audiovisual works, including films.
