The Needs of Employers in the Geospatial Technologies

Abstract

The survey was conducted on the basis of the needs of the employers’ for knowledge and skills of graduates focused on geo-information technology. It was done in preparation for the accreditation of a new branch in the VÅ TE in Ceske Budejovice. Although the survey was minor and does not have ambitions for being comprehensive and unambiguous, the conclusions emerged from the survey have very interesting results. Needs of employers surveyed were both on the specific knowledge domain for the selection of jobs and in terms appropriate to the number of graduates in the workplace -all apart from the perspective of commercial firms and the state authority. The article tries to present the basic idea of the studies and results for selected jobs. ZjiÅ¡tÄ›ní potÅ™eb zamÄ›stnavatelů v oblasti geoinformaÄ ních technologií
