Abstract

Having answers to questions such as ‘Do you know the people in your subordination? Do you know their wishes and aspirations?’ might make the difference between organizations. As Aristotle said in the above quote, we, people are directly responsible for the chances offered to us. Having a well implemented performance management and career planning system within the organization is the way through which the organization management assures that they have employees who are prepared to “take any chance that the system could offer. I considered that it is necessary to approach the connection between performance management and career since the employee cannot build a career without a management of performance. I find that helping your employees to identify their career anchors and knowing who is responsible for the career management are essential aspects in order for an organization to have good performance on the market .Organization of future will make the difference in term of competences customized for the new age: digitalization, multicultural teams and high performance.
