Abstract

For the new economy, a priority is to improve current vocational training systems by introducing digitalization into vocational training in areas of specialization, so that young people adapt to future needs, with new knowledge and skills adapted to new technologies. The present research presents the most important results regarding the career performance of the teachers from Dambovi?a county, performance analysed together with the results obtained at the organizational level. The data were obtained by applying a questionnaire on a representative sample of teachers from vocational and technical education in Dambovi?a county. These served to create an overview of the impact that Revolution 4.0 has on training in vocational and technical education, a premise for integration into the current labour market. The vocational and technical education in Romania must have an overview on the new global trends, in order to create systems adapted to these new training needs imposed by digitization. All of these changes will have dramatic effects on future training, unless major changes are anticipated and the emerging concerns about what to educate in the future take into account.
