Abstract

The article presents an attempt to define the limits of humanitarian thingness. To solve the problem it is not sufficient to use categorical means of naturalscience and historical materialism. Constructive development of social-philosophic thought requires the level of humanitarian materialism. Analyzing the problem makes it possible to point out three principal methodological approaches, connected with recognition and non-recognition of ontological status of spiritual reality.
