Abstract

The article focuses on the risks of destabilization of social institutions due to the expansion of the digital environment and its penetration into all spheres of society. The main categories of threats arising from the redundancy of information flows, as well as the widespread distribution of content that has disinforming, aggressive, and sometimes clearly extremist content are highlighted. Possible mechanisms of the influence of such Internet practices on the processes of transformation and self-organization in the social system are discussed.
