Abstract

The article analyzes the conceptual models of civil society of the Western European classical tradition (M-models, L-models) and the experience of their adaptation in post-Soviet Russia based on diffusion technologies of socio-humanitarian innovations (imitation and imitation type of innovations). It shows their inadequacy and the possibility of transition to authentic innovations in this area, developing an institutional (R-models and compositional models) and an active (civil participation, civic activity) base of civil society in modern Russia.
