Abstract

The article examines the international experience of exporting medical services in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, identifies its contribution to international competitiveness in 2020 and substantiates the need for its development in Russia, and also provides recommendations for managing the development of medical services exports in 2021-2022 for maximizing its contribution to international competitiveness. The work uses the statistics of international competitiveness of healthcare due to the creation of new markets for medical services "of tomorrow". Regression analysis proves that the export of medical services makes a moderate but significant contribution to the international competitiveness of healthcare by creating new markets for medical services of tomorrow in a pandemic. The control value of increasing the export of medical services in the long term has been determined, which allows to form the markets of medical services of "tomorrow", to bring health care to a fundamentally new level and strategically ensure a successful fight against the future threat around the world.
