Strengthening Trust In The Authorities As A Factor In Improving The Image Of The Region: The Example Of The Republic Of Adygea

Abstract

The article examines the relationship between the level of trust of citizens in the regional government and the image of the region. The object of the study is the Republic of Adygea. The analysis is based on the results of a sociological study conducted in September – October 2021 in Adygea. It is emphasized that the trust of the authorities is an important component of social consolidation and the basis for the stability of regional society, it harmonizes the relations of society and institutions of power, forms the stability of power in the long term, determines its legitimacy, the nature of development and the direction of social integration. The thesis is argued that a positive image of the region is an effective resource for increasing trust. The conclusion is made about the need to apply an interdisciplinary approach to the analysis of the relationship between the phenomena «image of the region» and «trust of the authorities».
