Abstract

In the article, the author looks into answers to three questions. Why did the emperor leave for Headquarters on February 22, 1917, although crisis did develop in Petrograd? What mistakes did the tsar make during his stay in Mogilev on February 23 - 28, 1917? Could the emperor preserve the monarchy, staying in TsarskoeSelo during the days of the February Revolution? Analysis of these plots makes it possible to more accurately understand whether the authorities did everything at critical moments in their history? What is the degree of the individualinfluence (for example, the head of state) on the historical process?
