Abstract

The article examines the Chinese experience of applying the social credit system and comprehensive monitoring of social behavior and political moods of the masses. Such attempts at universal control are made by the governments of many countries in the modern era of rampant terrorism and aggravation of intercivilizational contradictions, but the modern PRC, which synthesized the foundations of the socialist socioeconomic formation with elements of free enterprise, uses the social credit system not only for punitive and fiscal purposes, but also as an effective way to encourage law-abiding citizens.
