Abstract

The relevance of this article is due to the destabilization of the political situation in the South Caucasus region. The Georgian-Abkhaz conflict is one of the ethnopolitical conflicts in the South Caucasus, which is in the status of an unresolved conflict. The Russian Federation is a strong player in this region, therefore it takes part in the settlement of the Georgian-Abkhaz conflict. This article examines the impact of the Russian political elite on Georgian-Abkhaz relations.
