Abstract

The formation and development of critical skills in management personnel and government officials, using the interdisciplinary approach ,is considered to be the main task in organizing the educational process on the level of the master`s degree program. The lack of specialized courses and a comprehensive approach to forming the criteria of critical thinking leads to making inefficient professional decisions and perceiving the reality just on the basis of the past experience , using an elementary linear way of problem analysis. The authors have developed the course “Professional English“, which, by means of reading professional texts and writing activities in English, helps to develop critical thinking skills in master students, studying the training program for management personnel and government officials, using the interdisciplinary approach. 70 master students of URIU RANEPA participated in the experiment. The developed course had been tested for 16 weeks, i.e. 1 semester 2019-2020. The findings showed that the experimental group had higher average marks in terms of critical thinking ability and academic achievements in the course “Professional English”
