Abstract

The article deals with the emergence of the concept of social exclusion in sociological science. An attempt is made to analyze this social phenomenon from the point of view of various methodological approaches in order to further develop a comprehensive scientific definition. Attempts to systematize conclusions concerning the content, causes and consequences of social exclusion in relation to rural youth lead to the conclusion about the need to consider it from the perspective of this social group way of life.
