Abstract

The paper explores the main features of compiling and calculating a number of international ratings used in assessing the level of socio-economic development of countries. The economies of developed (G-7 countries) and developing economies (BRICS countries) countries show differences in the results obtained using the indices in question. The conclusion is drawn on the relevance of applying an integrated approach when comparing the level of development of countries in the modern world economic system.
