Abstract

The authors of the article raise the question of graduates’ employment and expose the problems they meet when searching for job. The article demonstrates that some factors such as high level of competition, absence of professional experience, saturation of the market with the specialists of the same qualifications can interfere with forecasted employment and carrier promotion. The problem of social adaptation is also touched upon. The authors suggest the ways of solving the problems, using the competence approach which enables to demonstrate the qualities of the most importance to the employer. Social and professional com-petences of the graduates are considered to be the most important conditions for the future employment.
