Abstract

The article examines organizational and economic mechanism of formation and functioning of regional economic clusters and highlights its main features. The general principles of cluster formation are derived and cluster functioning in specific regions is considered. The ways of clusters formation and functioning, as well as the methods to evaluate their effectiveness is surveyed.
