Digitalization of Higher Education in Russia: Current Problems and Development Prospects

Abstract

The article discusses the features and current problems of introduction of digital educational technologies in educational and pedagogical process as an integral component of digitalization of all sectors of the economy of our country. The authors managed to analyze a certain range of activities carried out by the state and aimed at solving the tasks in the field of technical transformation of education system, to trace current trends in the work of higher education institutions, to identify current problems which both students and teachers face in educational process with the help of digital technologies and the latest software systems. Summing up the results of the study, the authors came to the conclusion that it is necessary to modernize the educational process further on by promoting innovative practices and techniques, updating and digitizing educational and methodological fund, developing and creating modern software products for training personnel with interdisciplinary skills and information competencies in specialties that are really in demand in the labour market.
