Implementing the socio-economic development strategy of the RF regions in the context of reducing negative consequences of socio-economic inequalities

Abstract

Research relevance: the activities of regional governments to implement the Strategy for socio-economic development in a situation where the level of regional inequality in the Russian Federation significantly exceeds that in countries with economies comparable in terms of GDP structure remains the focus of researchers. Despite the abundance of publications on the use of information and communication technologies in modern management, the question of developing a comprehensive sociological monitoring of the implementation of strategic documents of regional development remains open. Research purpose: to analyze the activities of regional governments in implementing the Strategy for the socio-economic development of the region until 2020 and 2030 based on materials of the websites of regional governments and regional websites over the 2018-2020 period. Methods and methodology. The “electronic respondent method” was used as the main research method, which made it possible to identify similar and distinctive features of covering the Strategy for the socio-economic development of the region, as well as the features of reforming key areas of regional life, based on data from official and alternative websites. Results. The results of the content analysis of the regional official and alternative websites made it possible to fix the formalized position of the regional authorities on the regional development strategic documents placement and the key areas reform coverage, and also to identify similar and distinctive features of covering the implementation of the Strategy for the socio-economic development of regions. The obtained findings can help improve the socio-economic policy efficiency and implement the principle of feedback from the regional population, which is of particular importance in the context of socio-economic inequality enhancement.
