Abstract

The purpose of the article is to identify significant factors in the formation of the reputation of Russian authorities, determining the relationship between them and the assessment of the reputation by the population. The empirical basis of the study is an array of data - the results of mass sociological surveys of the population conducted in 2021-2022 in 11 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The use of methods of mathematical statistics and Data Mining allowed us to obtain the following results. The following factors have a statistically significant impact on the assessment of the reputation of Russian authorities for respondents: features of reputation perception (shift in the range of equivalence of perception; interest in the activities of the authorities; trust in people and organizations; personal satisfaction with life; assessment of the substantive characteristics of reputation. When assessing the reputation of Russian authorities, respondents, in fact, assess its honesty, responsibility, fairness, strength of power, closeness to people, professionalism and incorruptibility. These characteristics and their assessment determine the overall assessment of the reputation of Russian authorities. The predictive model constructed in this case allows us to correctly predict 57.5% of the total volume of values. The predictive role of the model is determined by the possibility of targeted influence on these factors for a corresponding change in public opinion aimed at increasing the assessment and forming a positive reputation. Prospects for further research are associated with studying the influence of the entire set of factors in the formation of the reputation of Russian authorities, constructing an appropriate predictive model with an increase in its accuracy, and empirical testing using the example of a pilot region
