Ecotourism And Its Importance For Human Resources Development In The Republic Of North Macedonia

Ecotourism as a form of tourism with the highest continuous growth after the end of the pandemic and is based on nature and its protection, leaving lasting positive impacts on the local community, local economic development and long-term development of human resources in the tourism industry. Theoretically, it should represent an ideal form of tourism because its activities are carried out in proportion to the preservation of the biological, social and historical values of a destination. This form of tourism offer appeared in the eighties of the last century in order to create a balance with mass tourism by creating prerequisites for the development of rural areas in economically underdeveloped areas rich in flora and fauna. This form of tourism can find wide application in national parks, protected areas and rural areas. The tourism industry represents a specific way of providing services and work because people are on both sides of the process as clients and providers of tourist services, which makes human resources in ecotourism the essence of good work. The correct direction and development of human resources in tourism leads to greater satisfaction and motivation, which can be returned many times over by providing additional services to tourists.
