Propuesta de plan financiero de la biodiversidad

Abstract

En el año 2012 el Programa de Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo (PNUD), en respuesta a los acuerdos del Convenio de la Diversidad Biológica, inicia la promoción de una alianza colaborativa de alcance mundial para promover la conservación y gestión de la biodiversidad, a través de un nuevo enfoque y una metodología innovadora, que incentiva la interinstitucionalidad e implementa acciones que derivan de prioridades nacionales, cuyo objetivo es posibilitar la identificación de la brecha financiera de la Diversidad Biológica, movilizando recursos, a partir de diversas fuentes y mecanismos financieros para desarrollar una estrategia integral, surgiendo así la Iniciativa de Financiamiento a la Biodiversidad, siendo su sigla “BIOFIN” y de la cual Cuba forma parte desde el año 2015.
