Servicios básicos en el sitio San Juan de la ciudad de Manta: Caracterización y cobertura

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es identificar las formas en las que está recibiendo los servicios básicos la población del sitio San Juan de Manta y evaluar la incidencia en la calidad de vida. Se aplicó técnicas de investigación cuantitativa y cualitativa. La información estadística surge de la Encuesta de Caracterización Socioeconómica y Ambiental del Sitio San Juan de la ciudad de Manta ENCARSOECA-2018. A partir de esta se construyen los indicadores de cobertura. Los resultados dan cuenta que este sitio, si bien es cierto, tiene indicadores de cobertura altos en agua potable, energía eléctrica y alcantarillado, pero en los complementarios como acceso a internet, uso de celular y televisión pagada es muy limitada; además de tener dificultades en servicios de alumbrado de calles, asfaltado de vías, salud, educación, etc., lo que sin duda tiene incidencia para que la calidad de vida no sea la más óptima
