Análisis de cointegración de la IED y la industria manufacturera con datos de panel a nivel regional periodo 1992-2016

Abstract

El objetivo de esta investigación es examinar el efecto de la IED en la industria de las manufacturas por regiones del mundo en 136 países a nivel global agrupados por regiones durante el período 1992-2016. Utilizamos técnicas actuales de cointegración y causalidad para datos de panel tales como el test de cointegración de Pedroni (1999) para estimar el equilibrio de largo plazo, y corrección de error de Westerlund (2007) para determinar el equilibrio de corto y largo plazo, el método PDOLS y DOLS de Pedroni (2001) para estimar la fuerza del vector de cointegración, y el test de causalidad de Dumitrescu & Hurlin (2012) para verificar la existencia y dirección de causalidad entre parejas de variables. La aplicación de estas estrategias econométricas para datos de panel permite obtener resultados consistentes sobre la relación causal entre la IED y las manufacturas. . Las políticas que se sugieren en base a los resultados de la investigación se centra en tres aspectos: incrementar el capital humano, mejorar la infraestructura y generar políticas comerciales favorables.
