Productividad y Empleo Regional en España: Un enfoque dinámico

Abstract

En este trabajo se analiza el impacto de factores sectoriales y territoriales en la dinámica del empleo de las industrias regionales de la economía española durante el periodo 1980-2006. Se aplican técnicas de estimación para un panel dinámico (System-GMM) que ofrecen un tratamiento metodológico alternativo al problema de la endogeneidad de las variables. Los resultados confirman la robustez de los efectos contemporáneos: la diversificación, el tamaño de mercado y la dinámica del sector afectan positivamente al empleo a corto plazo. A largo plazo los efectos son más inciertos.
