Abstract

Este artículo aborda cómo el comercio internacional, particularmente el TPP-11, pone trabas para alcanzar el desarrollo y bienestar en economías menos desarrolladas, manteniendo como contraparte la protección de grandes corporaciones de eventuales reformas que pudieran ser contrarias a sus intereses. Para el caso chileno, esto se ve reflejado en las incapacidades que generaría este tipo de tratados para obtener una recaudación más importante, como lo sería en el caso del Cobre. Esto se vuelve particularmente importante en el contexto constituyente que atraviesa Chile, donde se puede jugar una carta para salir del “más de lo mismo” (extractivismo) y apostar por estrategias de desarrollo diferentes, principalmente porque en un escenario post-pandemia, va a ser necesario reestructurar para reactivar.
